How does the “Phone Lock” work (iOS)?
The “Phone Lock” function blocks all the apps on the child's smartphone, except for the phone calls.
Important! We intentionally do not block the phone call function so that the child can always call the parents.
The parents can use different types of locks:
- Instant lock. To lock your child's smartphone in one click, just press a single “Phone Lock” button. You can unlock your child's device manually by pressing the “Unlock” button.
- Scheduled lock. The parents set up a schedule and forbid the child to use the smartphone at certain times, such as during school hours or bedtime.
With a long press on the lock period starting cell, set the start of the lock period, and swipe to the end of the lock period. Switch the toggle to the active position in the upper right corner: “Scheduled Phone Lock”. This will set the lock period of the smartphone, where the highlighted cells are the phone lock time.
- Screen time limit. The “Limit” function restricts the daily usage time for games and other apps on your child's smartphone.
The "Settings" tab. This tab provides additional restrictions for the AppStore and Game Centre. For example, there are emerging options to block in-app purchases, iTunes, etc.
The "Whitelist" tab. Here, the parents can set up exceptions for certain apps that should not be blocked. For example, the parents can whitelist messengers so that the child stay in touch at all times. To be able to set up a whitelist, you need to install the free Kroha Advanced version on your child's smartphone.
