Eye Protection (Android)
CHILD EYE PROTECTION is a unique and innovative service.
The main purpose of this function is to reduce the risk of a child developing myopia due to the impact of the screen on their vision when it is too close to their eyes.
The function monitors the distance from the screen to the child's eyes and, if the screen is too close, locks the screen until the child moves the screen further away. When the child moves the smartphone further away from their eyes, the screen will automatically unlock.
The default safe distance from the screen to the eyes is set based on the recommendations of ophthalmologists (30 cm). The parents can adjust this distance with the slider at the bottom of the Eye Protection screen.
Users can click on the question mark next to the feature activation switch to learn more about the issues and recommendations of the ophthalmologists.
Customizing Alerts: For a more comfortable use of the Eye Protection feature, the users have the option to customize the alert in different ways:
- Display a warning in the form of a banner at the top or bottom of the screen
- Activate vibration when the distance from the screen to the eyes is too close
Whitelist: If you don't want Eye Protection to block certain apps, you can add them to a whitelist and the screen won't lock when those apps are launched.
